Our Quarterly Power Breakfast Series is a 90-minute breakfast, which includes two 20-25-minute expert lectures on current topics happening in the world at large and how it may impact local businesses and the day-to-day challenges faced by entrepreneurs and professionals in the greater Houston area.
Theme I for this Power Breakfast Series is "Being the Best You; Simple Ways to Maximize Every Interaction that will lead to more successful, productive, and valuable engagements" featuring Shezad Kapadia, Manager & Principal of Amsys Capital. Mr. Kapadia is an entrepreneur with extensive background in commercial and investment banking. Prior to co-founding Amsys Capital, Mr. Kapadia served as a director at Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking where he oversaw a team of associates and analysts in the bank’s Commercial and Investment Banking division and played an integral role in the origination, structuring, and placing of over $3.5 billion of financings within the equity and debt capital markets. Mr. Kapadia received multiple top achiever awards with Société Générale, including being inducted into the bank’s Emerging Leaders Program and most recently, was recognized by the Houston Business Journal as the City's top 40 under 40 Award for his achievements in business.

Theme II for this Power Breakfast Series is "Unlocking the Power of Purpose" featuring Thomas Nguyen , co-founder of Peli Peli, a South African fine-dining concept currently ranked in the top 10 in Houston on both Tripadvisor and Yelp, and Peli Peli Kitchen, a South African fast casual concept that was named Eater Houston's Fast Casual Concept of 2017. Thomas was featured on season 3 of CNBC's Restaurant Startup and is 2015's Houston Business Journal 40 Under 40 recipient, 2016 Houston Asian Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneur of the Year and 2016 & 2017 EY Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist.
